This illustration is from one of my story concepts called “The Tin Man’s Heart” about a boy with a musical artificial heart. Equal parts music box, tuba, locket, plumbing, and time-bomb, it’s both delicate and industrial. This was another of my collaborations with computer animator, Mike Altman, who currently works at DNA Productions in Dallas, TX.
