United Skates Mural

In the summer of 2003, United Skates, based out of Columbus, OH, commissioned my largest mural project to date. I was asked to design and paint a series of murals for the entire perimeter of one of their local roller skating rinks.

The resulting mural designs found their inspiration in graffiti, anime, and my reawakened fascination with robots. I was so energized by the opportunity to explore the subject matter, that my robot-themed webcomic, The Fantastic Mr. Grant, was dreamed-up during the long nights spent sketching designs for this project.
